Clyde Blowers Capital Acquires Preformed Windings
Clyde Blowers Capital is pleased to announce the acquisition of Sheffield based Preformed Windings Ltd, a manufacturer of High Voltage Coils for Electric Motors and Generators, from Deritend Industries Ltd. Preformed Windings will join the electric machines group of companies within Clyde Blowers Capital (“CBC”).

Steel fabricators need to beat countdown to CE marking deadline

Within the construction industry, 1st July 2014 marks the point when all fabricated structural steelwork must meet the harmonised European standard BS EN 1090 and carry the CE mark. The certification process can take more than 12 months to complete, depending on the procedures already in place and most companies should have now either completed it or are in the final stages.

Eight 4.3MW fan motors from WEG drive emission reducing SCR plant at Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station

E.ON has guaranteed the future viability of its Ratcliffe-on-Soar coal fired power station by installing a new selective catalytic reduction (SCR) emission control facility to reduce emissions. Driving the SCR process, which uses ammonia to neutralise Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) in exhaust gases, are eight highly efficient WEG 4300kW MGF710 Motors.
