Representation


The AEMT, through the President, Council and Committees, provide visible leadership for the industry internationally. It promotes and represents the industry at an international, national, regional, and local level.

The Association currently represents members’ interests with the relevant government bodies in the UK this incorporates DEFRA, The Environment Agency, Department of Trade and Industry, Health and Safety Executive, etc. and liases with them.

Members have a direct voice at the area meetings as well as by contacting the President, and Council members, to influence the AEMT’s policy and priorities.

The Association promotes members with major customers and users, with the AEMT Journal and at Trade Shows, as well as through contact with other Trade Associations internationally.

Standards committees: The AEMT is represented on the relevant British, European, and International Standards Committees, and through contact with BSI, and other relevant bodies.
